The FIFA Women’s Football Campaign was successfully held at Dabala EP Park in the Volta Region, attracting hundreds of young girls for a day of football, skills development and recreational activities.
The grassroots initiative forms part of FIFA’s ongoing commitment to promoting women’s football by identifying and nurturing young talent while encouraging greater female participation in the sport.
Participants took part in football drills, coaching sessions and fun-filled activities designed to improve their technical abilities and deepen their interest in the game. The campaign also provided a platform for aspiring female footballers to interact with coaches and gain valuable experience.
Organisers described the event as a major success, highlighting the strong turnout and enthusiasm shown by the participants.
The campaign is expected to strengthen the development of women’s football in the Volta Region and contribute to Ghana’s long-term efforts to expand the women’s game at the grassroots level by inspiring the next generation of female footballers.
