Goalkeeper Belinda Maku Aklie is continuing to establish herself as one of Ghana’s brightest young talents after playing key roles in the country’s youth national team successes.

The talented shot-stopper was instrumental in the Black Princesses’ qualification for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, delivering impressive performances throughout the qualifying campaign.

Belinda also featured prominently for the Black Maidens as they secured a place at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, underlining her growing importance to Ghana’s women’s football setup.

Her consistent displays between the posts have earned praise from coaches and supporters, highlighting her composure, shot-stopping ability and leadership despite her young age.

At club level, Belinda currently plays for Women’s Division One side Cabfix Ladies FC, where she continues to develop her game while gaining valuable competitive experience.

Her recent achievements with Ghana’s youth national teams have strengthened her reputation as one of the country’s most promising goalkeepers, with many expecting her to progress to the senior Black Queens in the future.
