Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, will face Côte d’Ivoire on Tuesday, July 14, in the first of two scheduled international friendly matches as preparations intensify for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The encounter forms part of the team’s final build-up ahead of the continental tournament, with head coach and technical staff expected to use the fixture to assess player fitness, tactical discipline and squad cohesion.

The Black Queens are aiming to fine-tune their preparations after recent training sessions and previous friendly matches, with the coaching team keen to identify the strongest lineup before the start of WAFCON.

The two-match series against Côte d’Ivoire is expected to provide Ghana with a competitive test against familiar West African opposition.
