Black Stars goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi has praised the strong relationship among Ghana’s goalkeepers, describing the atmosphere in camp as one built on unity rather than rivalry.

The St. Gallen shot-stopper said he shares a healthy relationship with Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare and the rest of the goalkeeping department.

“Myself, Benjamin Asare and the other goalkeepers have a nice relationship. It was about building a good goalkeeping unit,” Ati-Zigi said.

Ati-Zigi explained that the focus has always been on supporting one another and ensuring whoever gets the opportunity to play is fully prepared to deliver for the national team.

The 29-year-old featured twice for Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, while Benjamin Asare also impressed during the tournament after making his World Cup debut.

Having been part of the Black Stars setup since 2018, Ati-Zigi has grown into one of the team’s senior players and believes the unity within the goalkeeping department will continue to strengthen Ghana ahead of future international assignments.
