Karela United defender Abdul Rahman Yaya is set to leave the club as a free agent following the expiration of his contract.
The centre-back is attracting interest from Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC, who are working to secure his signature ahead of the new season.
Sources close to the negotiations indicate that talks between Medeama and the player’s representatives are progressing positively, with the Tarkwa-based club hopeful of completing the deal on a free transfer.
Yaya is expected to become one of the notable free agents on the domestic market after establishing himself as a key member of the Karela United squad during his time with the club.
Medeama are keen to strengthen their defensive options as they prepare for the upcoming campaign and view the experienced centre-back as a valuable addition to the squad.
Should negotiations be concluded successfully, Yaya will join Medeama without a transfer fee, marking another significant move in the Ghana Premier League transfer window.
