Ghana Premier League side Nations FC have appealed to the government to rehabilitate the road leading to the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex ahead of their participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The club says it intends to host its continental home matches at the privately owned facility, which it believes satisfies the preliminary requirements set by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). However, it identified the poor state of the access road as the only major obstacle to using the venue.

In a public appeal, Nations FC called on the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, to support efforts to secure government intervention for the road’s rehabilitation.

The club expressed confidence that the project could be completed within the next two months, citing the Regional Minister’s ongoing development initiatives across the Ashanti Region.

According to Nations FC, repairing the road would not only enable the club to stage its CAF Confederation Cup matches at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex but also unlock broader economic and sporting benefits for the Ashanti Region.

The club further urged the current government to undertake the project, noting that previous efforts to address the issue had not been successful.
