Ivorian powerhouse ASEC Mimosas have expressed strong interest in signing Ghanaian defender Maxwell Agyemang as the club looks to reinforce its squad ahead of the new season.
The centre-back, who previously featured for Hohoe United, Asante Kotoko and Karela United, has emerged as a transfer target for the former CAF Champions League winners following his consistent performances.
Sources indicate that ASEC Mimosas are closely monitoring Agyemang’s situation, with discussions expected to progress in the coming days as the club explores the possibility of securing his signature.
The defender’s experience in the Ghana Premier League and his commanding presence at the heart of defence have reportedly made him an attractive option for the Ivorian side.
Although no agreement has been reached, interest from ASEC Mimosas signals a potential move abroad for Agyemang.
Should negotiations prove successful, the Ghanaian defender could soon embark on a new chapter in his career with one of Côte d’Ivoire’s most successful clubs.
