FC Barcelona are preparing a fresh offer for highly-rated Belgian young-sensation Jesse Bisiwu after seeing their initial bid rejected by Club Brugge.
The Blaugranas remain determined to sign the 18-year-old, who is regarded as one of Belgium’s brightest young talents, and are expected to return with an improved proposal in the coming days.
Barcelona’s opening package, believed to be worth around €9 million, was turned down by Club Brugge as negotiations between the two clubs continue.
The Belgian side are reportedly seeking a transfer fee in excess of €10 million and also want a sell-on clause included in any agreement before sanctioning the youngster’s departure.
Despite the setback, Barcelona have not cooled their interest and are pushing ahead with talks as they look to strengthen their crop of emerging talents ahead of the new season.
Bisiwu is viewed by the La Liga champions as a player with huge potential, and the club hopes a revised bid will be enough to convince Club Brugge to part ways with the promising winger.
