Ghanaian youngster Edmund Baidoo was on target as RB Salzburg cruised to a convincing 4-0 victory over Ukrainian side FC Kharkiv in a preseason friendly ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

The 20-year-old forward opened the scoring in the 28th minute, continuing his impressive preparations for the new season with another confident display in attack.

RB Salzburg doubled their advantage before the break through Nikolas Veratsching in the 41st minute to take a comfortable 2-0 lead into halftime.

The Austrian champions maintained their dominance after the restart, with Malian striker Gaoussou Diakite making it 3-0 in the 51st minute before Dominik Schmid wrapped up the emphatic victory three minutes from full-time.

Baidoo will be encouraged by his latest performance as he continues to push for a regular place in Salzburg’s first team ahead of the new season, with the preseason goal providing another timely boost to his confidence.

The convincing win also serves as a perfect training exercise for RB Salzburg as they continue preparations for the upcoming domestic and European campaigns.
