Ghana’s Black Bombers are set to depart for the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, with just seven days remaining before the prestigious multi-sport event begins.
The national boxing team heads into the Games carrying Ghana’s rich boxing heritage, which remains the country’s most successful sport at the Commonwealth Games. Over the years, boxing has produced some of Ghana’s greatest sporting icons and contributed significantly to the nation’s overall medal tally.
The Black Bombers will be aiming to continue that proud tradition by delivering strong performances and challenging for medals in Glasgow as Team Ghana seeks success on the international stage.
The team’s participation forms part of Team Ghana’s “We Dare To Win” campaign, which is being spearheaded by the Ministry of Sports and Recreation. The campaign has also received support from the Eezzy Group Foundation and TW Radio as Ghana intensifies preparations for the Games.
The Black Bombers are expected to play a key role in Team Ghana’s quest for medals at Glasgow 2026.
