The Supreme Court has unanimously dismissed a legal challenge against the prosecutorial powers of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
In its ruling, on July 29, 2026, the apex court upheld the constitutionality of the OSP and the law that established the anti-corruption agency.
However, it clarified that the Attorney General retains the constitutional authority to discontinue criminal proceedings initiated by the Office.
