Dundee United have completed the signing of goalkeeper Jordan Amissah on a long-term deal, with the former Burton Albion shot-stopper joining the Scottish Premiership club until the summer of 2028.

The 24-year-old’s move remains subject to Scottish Football Association approval and international clearance, but he is expected to link up with his new teammates during pre-season.

Amissah arrives to provide competition for Jack Walton and Ruairidh Adams as Dundee United continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.

Born in Germany to Ghanaian heritage, the 6ft 6in goalkeeper came through the youth systems of Schalke 04 and Borussia Dortmund before moving to England with Sheffield United. He gained valuable experience through loan spells and made his senior debut for the Blades in 2022.

The former Ghana Under-23 international also enjoyed a loan stint at Ross County, where he impressed in Scottish football.

Amissah will now be aiming to establish himself as Dundee United’s first-choice goalkeeper in the upcoming season.
