Ghanaian left-back Issaka Seidu is closing in on a move to Swedish giants IFK Göteborg following an impressive campaign with Superettan side Ljungskile SK, JoySports understands.
The 20-year-old has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Allsvenskan club and is expected to sign his contract on Thursday if the two clubs complete the remaining details of the transfer.
Discussions are ongoing over the structure of the deal, with the move yet to be confirmed as either a permanent transfer or another arrangement.
Seidu has already informed Ljungskile that he has played his final game for the club as negotiations near completion.
The promising defender made 12 league appearances last season, scoring once and registering an assist while establishing himself as one of the division’s standout full-backs.
Seidu remains contracted to Danish club FC Nordsjaelland, whom he joined in 2024 before moving to Ljungskile for regular first-team football.
A move to IFK Göteborg would see the Ghanaian continue his development in Sweden’s top flight and become the latest Ghanaian player to feature in the Allsvenskan.
