Nations FC have officially appointed experienced Croatian tactician Zdravko Logarušić as the club’s new head coach ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The 60-year-old returns to Ghanaian football for the first time since leaving Asante Kotoko in 2017 and takes charge of the Abrankese-based club with a wealth of coaching experience from across Africa, Europe and Asia.

Logarušić’s appointment marks his fourth coaching role in Ghana, having previously managed Asante Kotoko, AshantiGold and King Faisal during his earlier spells in the country.

Away from Ghana, the Croatian has handled several high-profile teams, including the Sudan and Zimbabwe national teams, Kenyan giants Gor Mahia, Tanzanian powerhouse Simba SC and Eswatini. His most recent coaching role was with Saudi Arabian side Al-Tai in 2025.

Nations FC confirmed the appointment in a statement, saying: “Nations FC is pleased to confirm the appointment of Zdravko Logarušić as Head Coach of the club.

“The Croatian tactician joins Nations FC with over two decades of coaching experience, having led clubs and national teams across Africa, Europe and Asia. Welcome to Abrankese, Coach. Let’s get to work.”

Logarušić will now be expected to use his vast experience to guide Nations FC as they prepare for the new campaign and begin a fresh chapter under his leadership.
